Today, while mowing the lawn, I was attacked by an underground hornet nest. I now have many stings, two scared dogs, and a mower still running outside. The hornets are swarming it and some are sitting on the lever, as if to turn it off. It's like they know. FML

I feel your pain! The same thing happened to us...and our two dogs! It's horrible. Our little dog wouldn't come out from under our bed for two days! Hope you are all feeling better soon!

Finally, an occasion to undust the ol' good flamethrower! Make them pay.

They are trying to figure out how to run over your home.

How could your mower have still been running ? It's supposed to shut off when you let go of the little bar you hold down.

I thought questioning the validity of the statement was against the rules . I disconnected that " feature" on more than one mower.

Hornets: we will get our revenge....SOON!!! *lies in wait* OP has to come out of her hive at some point hehehehe...

Maybe they are just horny :D .... No ? Crawls back in hole -_-

Group mentality. The swarm was justified in their tiny little minds. Bad timing made you a victim. Sorry for your experience. Sorry for your dogs. Hopefully the mower was low on gas!

Ohgod, they're learning. I for one, will welcome our new buzzy overlords.

Dawn dishsoap works great for pretty much any insect sting.
