This makes no sense!
I've heard of someone reflexively striking out when being touched (fight or flight response) but never anyone punching someone when they're awoken by laughter. OP's either lying or has some crazy reflexes.
I think it'd be more along the lines of primal instinct. It isn't that it's laughter, it's that it was extremely loud, which, in the early days of humans, would most likely mean an attacker. Therefore, the body's natural response is to automatically lash out and defend against an attack. While much less important nowadays, it's hard to get rid of something that's been hardwired I to your brain over hundreds, of not thousands of generations.
I almost did that in class before but luckily the person next to me was like a foot from my extended fist
good job
Both me and my dad both have the same reflex when we're startled out of our sleep. It is a reflex.
When my brother woke me up on Christmas, he did it by yelling. I reflexively punched him in the face. Shit happens
HAHAH the same thing happened to this girl in my math class when I was in highschool, dude was dead asleep, everyone extra tired and bored, all of a sudden he wakes up, slugs the girl in front of him, all of us turn around and stare at him like..O.O and start laughing our butts off while he's like..wtf did I just do...
