Today, while riding on the car with my family, I put on my headphones and pretended to be listening to music and when my parents talked to me, I pretended I couldn't hear them. They took this opportunity to discuss how fat I was and how I can't hold down a boyfriend. They were laughing as well. FML

Today, I had to listen to my mom give a detailed description of her date last night to her friends via speakerphone... while I was trapped in the car with her. When I pointed out that I was still in the back seat, she scoffed and told me, "I have a sex life, deal with it." FML

Today, I discovered how pathetically introverted I am when during a car ride with my family, I said, "I really like this song" and my parents gasped because they didn't realize I was in the back seat. And I'm their only child. FML

Today, I went out with my parents and a family friend. After saying goodbye to the friend and as soon as the elevator doors shut, my parents started trash-talking the friend's looks, stature, choice of clothes, etc. Now I understand a lot about my education growing up. FML

Today, I was performing in an orchestra concert. My stand partner and I commented on people in the audience the whole time, saying how fat they were, etc. Towards the end of the concert, I realized we were sitting right by a microphone, and the whole audience could hear us. FML

Today, I was in my car and a cute guy pulled up next to me. He looked at me and smiled, but in order to be cool, I pretended not to notice. I also pretended that I was listening to music and was completely absorbed in it, singing passionately. I wasn't even listening to music and my window was down. FML

Today, I was called fat by my boyfriend's old-fashioned mom. I'm not close to fat but I'm not really skinny either so she calls me fat. She also complained that my feet makes noise when I walk and that girls shouldn't make noise when walking. This week has been hell. FML

she's so fat they have to strap her to the roof of the car with zip ties, bungee cords and duct tape...that's what she failed to add when she wrote "riding on the car"....sometimes the truth hurts, chubbs. they were about the boyfriend part though...in sure you can find a Big Mac or a t-bone that would love to go out with you :)

oh, and the best part...she wrote that she can't "hold down" a boyfriend...you have to watch what you write, fatty. I'm sure with your sizeable belly and ginormous ass you can definitely hold a guy down...the trick is not asphyxiating him with your fatness...dating a guy, well that's a whole other story...

Why is it always a YDI when someone is fat? Have any of you had a thyroid problem? Have you taken antidepressants? Or antipsycotics? You're lucky if you havent. They all cause weight gain. Unless OP just likes eating a lot or not exercising, being heavy isnt her fault. Even then her parents being that cruel isnt called for. FYL, OP. My mom is the same way... But she makes sure I hear her talk about it.

When you have a medical condition or medicine that cause weight gain, NOTHING HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT. Even once the problem is resolved its very difficult to drop the weight. Whatever, theres no convincing anybody until you're the one posting an FML saying "Ive been gaining quite a bit of weight recently so I went to the doctor, turns out I have Hypothyroidism."
