Today, while shopping, my six-year-old son threw a tantrum because I wouldn't buy him a video game. I ended up having to grab his arm and leave the store. He screamed that I was kidnapping him, at which point I was socked in the face and pinned to the floor by three bystanders. FML

Everyone is talking about studies showing not to spank your kids...give me a break. It took me 2 times to get a spanking from my dad growing up before I knew what lines to cross and what ones to not. Bottom line is there are to many babies having babies and they dont even know where to start with parenting. Stop putting your children imfront of the TV and video games...they are not babysitterd. And start spending more time with your kids and more time parenting. And also set boundaries. Then a spanking may not be necessary.

If my 4 year old ever acted like that I would smack her ass that her future children would be feeling it. Discipline is the key. Looks like your son could use more of it. Maybe you should send him to me I'd straighten him out and then send you back a well behaved child. He needs to learn that he is not the center of the universe and he can't have everything he wants or do whatever he feels like. As for his game consoles threaten to put them on eBay if he keeps up his bad behavior.

please beat him more than you do .. its hard but it helps

Did the child die? Because if he were mine, he most certainly would have.

I sincerely hope you whipped that boys butt when you got home. It sucks that you got punched in the face, but at least you seem to live in a good area with decent people who take action when they think they need to. A T.V. show here in the States did an experiment where they had a guy dragging a girl down the street screaming 'help me I don't know this person' and people would literally look at them, and then keep walking. After a few hours of waiting and then repeating the scenario two guys finally dropped their shopping bags and tried to help.

Kids test their limits all the time. It isn't the parents fault if their child has a colossal tantrum in public. As long as its the last time the kid acted like that. Had I acted like that in a store as a kid, I wouldn't be able to sit down comfortably for a week and I'd not dare pull that shit tantrum again.

Sell his game console. Now he doesn't need a video game for it. Problem solved.
