Time to bust out the rod of correction

I think there is no specific way to raise your child. My mother used both physical and emotional ways to punish me depending on the severity. If it was for bad grades, then I wasn't allowed to play video games or watch tv for 9 weeks. If it was something like completely disrespecting her and yelling at her, then I got spanked. I love my mother very much and I like to think that I'm a nice person. Of course I might have some "evil" thoughts, everyone does when they're just mad, but I never act on them because I know it would be wrong. I am for spanking when necessary but there only isn't one way to discipline a child.
