OMFG...you're taught in MIDDLE SCHOOL to NEVER flush female hygiene products down the toilet for this very reason! Also, if you knew your period was coming, you should have had more than one pad with you. If not, well, use toilet paper for that instead. If you were at home, starting your period would have been no big deal since surely you'd have more pads there. If you were at work, you could have thrown the pad into the trash bin in the stall provided for this purpose. No matter how you look at it, YTDI.

Ok well using a pad in lieu of TP I get but whyyyyy would u try to flush it???? Never ever flush pads! Shoulda re-wrapped it in it's wrapper n put it in the trash. Also...track ur period and be prepared in the days leading up to it so ur not caught off guard. C'mon this is stuff us girls figure out by month 2 MAYBE 3 after the very first period -_-

Next time, if no one else is there, call a friend for help. Then, use a disinfectant wipe for your phone later. If you're that desperate and all you did was pee, use the cardboard roll if it's available.
