Today, while waiting in line at a store, a toddler behind me was throwing a major meltdown while his father yelled at him, giving me a migraine. I turned to the woman behind me and said, "Can you believe this kid? I feel sorry for his mother." Turns out the woman was his mother. FML

the mother was probably embarrassed and distressed. hopefully it's not a daily occurrence.

um is anyone gonna say that OP probably should have guessed that the woman with the toddler might be its mother...?

Maybe the mother was standing a little apart and acting as though she wasn't w with them.

I feel your pain. I have a condition that magnifies everyday sounds so badly they cause actual pain. It's like a hot poker to my brain when I hear some kid whining or a baby crying. >_< I'm sorry OP. But... in the future, do be more careful! There's nothing wrong with sighing and rolling your eyes (Because then if a parent comments they're just a douche) but actually saying stuff could get you into trouble!

this is why you should keep your inside voice inside...

Mind your own business next time. There's a million reasons the kid could have been throwing a fit.

you mean instead of causing a big scene, the dad didn't bother to pick their kid up and take them out of the store? and the mom stood there not doing anything? I feel for you OP, bit that's all on them.

I feel your pain OP. There is nothing more annoying than a screaming child, especially one that is pissy because they can't get what they want.

I sure hope you can't breed. You'll have migraines for the next 20 years

You deserved it, that was rude. Wait until you have kids and see what it's like standing in line with a toddler.
