Today, my boyfriend of over a year and I were discussing how neither of us is the other's usual "type". I explained that I usually go for insular asshole types and then asked him what made me different from his usual choices. He said "Oh, well, I usually go for the attractive ones." FML

Today, I realized I’m not my boyfriend’s “type” anymore. People say I’m beautiful but I guess he wants the filtered, social media-butterfly type. He won’t break up with me because he doesn’t want to be the bad guy, considering everything I’ve done and do for him. FML

aaaand thats when you dumped him...right? it doesn't matter if he was joking, it very well could've come from a true place; a good boyfriend is supposed to make you feel gorgeous all the time and yeah, girls can take a joke but not when its aimed at our appearance (which some of us work on with much strife)
