Today, I sang "Happy Birthday" to my best friend. Sadly, it was while waitressing at work, where they were having a celebration I hadn't been invited to in the first place. FML

be positive. you work there and were working maybe it was a convinient time for everyone else and they did it where you work so you could be involved

I would say she knew you were working on the night of her birthday, so didn't bother inviting you, instead deciding to celebrate with you the way she could, by eating at your restaurant. Don't dismiss her friendship yet, ask what it was about.

she probably didn't invite you because she know you had to work but went to your work place so you wouldn't feel left out.but yet you didn't like it because you weren't invited you deserve it
