Today, I went over to surprise my girlfriend of two years with flowers and dinner at her apartment. After I knocked, a handsome young man answered the door. Thinking I had the wrong apartment, I apologized, only to hear my girlfriend's voice call from the background, "Baby, who's there?" FML

Today, I went to surprise my girlfriend, who was at work at Target, with flowers. I asked the employee at the entrance if she was there. When he asked who I was, his face lit up red and he started profusely apologizing, stating, “She told me you guys broke up.” before guiding me to her area. News to me. FML

Today, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend by showing up at his place unannounced with some take-out food. I got there just in time to see him leave his block of flats with another girl. FML

Today, it was my girlfriend's birthday. To surprise her, I told her that I was going away on business, and could not be there on her birthday. When I show up at her house to surprise her with a present and cake, she opens the door in her underwear, beside a man in his boxers. She was surprised. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's work to surprise him. When I got there, I called him on his phone to tell him to turn around. I saw him look at his phone. His co-worker next to him asked who that was. He replied, "Just this fat chick I know." FML

why the hell did he answer your door? your girlfriend is a bitch you can come surprise me with those flowers and dinner, I love surprises! I'm sorry that had to happen to you, but at least you didn't mistakenly stay in a relationship with her. You'll find someone that appreciates your romantic surprises :)

That's really harsh. What a bitch. But... at least you found out, and don't have to deal with her anymore, right? You can definitely do better. Someone as sweet and thoughtful as you sound will be able to find someone else easily, once you're ready.

#11--It was HER apartment, not OUR apartment. Why would he knock on his own door? #14 --I am guessing he knew which door was hers, but was confused when a man answered, so his initial reaction was that he had the wrong apartment...
