Today, my 15 year-old girlfriend called to tell me she is pregnant. Her dad is ex-military, and makes a point of cleaning his guns every time I go to her house. FML

Wow so many lecturers. Those that say its too young just werent getting any. Probably 1 in 10 actially chose not to rather than wanted to and failed. We are designed and intended to have sex from puberty. Stat rape laws are to protect the young from creepy older people taking advantage. Two consenting teens are free to frollick!

I'm not against consenting teens doing what they like with one another, but I have no pity for anyone who gets someone pregnant unintentionally. Information is not hard to get. Neither are condoms. If you have sex without proper protection, you are actively trying to have a baby, and if a pregnancy results, then that's your fault.

If you OP are not 15 or around this age, then you're a ******* perv. :) If you are, then you and your girlfriend are probably both ******* dumbasses. :) If you wore condom and/or if she were on the pill, but have been part of the ~ 1 % of failure rate, I agree that's very bad luck. I know how much talking about abortion is frowned upon – and that's an euphemism – on this website, but seriously, think about it. Adoption will not be easy to live through for the child, teen parenting will neither be easy to live through for the child, nor for you his/her parents, abortion is hard time to go of course but it can be an intelligent decision to take – not that I say the others are not ; well, teen parenting is somewhat stupid – thus I hope your girlfriend will think a bit about it, so she has all the cards before deciding what to do. That's a terrible thing that teenagers still get parent at such an age whereas there is birth control... Just a few facts : - Adults can get pregnant too so people having sex should get on birth control whatever their ages. Seems trivial but reading some comments makes me think it might be not that obvious. - Pulling out is NOT a good method of birth control. I repeat : PULLING OUT IS NOT A GOOD METHOD OF BIRTH CONTROL (yes, I'm absolutely yelling that) AND SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED AS ONE.
