Today, while shopping, I saw a little girl and her mom. The girl was pouting so I tried to cheer her up by asking her if she was a princess, because she was so pretty. She smiled but her mom looked at me with disgust and told me to, "Get lost, pedo." I'm a 17-year-old girl. FML

I actually kind of get where the mom is coming from. I have a little sister who I love and am VERY protective of. And when strangers come up to talk to her, I get uncomfortable. The mother's love probably just came across a little strong.

I see people's views on how they would be annoyed at strangers telling their little girls they're princesses... But honestly, If I had a little girl and someone noticed she was upset and they asked if she was a princess because she was reeally pretty- It would make MY day too... Because op said it in a nice way, not a creepy way. :)

While I generally agree with your premise, I think people sometimes forget that women can be pedo's as well... the problem here is an overprotective parent, sadly these days it seems you can't even say hello to a child without someone putting you under suspicion of being a pedophile.

Technically, #63, those female teaches sleeping with their high school students are ephebophiles, not pedophiles, as pedophiles are attracted to kids pre-puberty, and ephebophiles are attracted to teens. It's also interesting the double standard with regards to female teacher/male teen and male teacher/female student. A great deal of people simply say the male teen is 'lucky' for scoring a cougar, while the female teen (who supposedly matured faster according to what they keep telling us) is being taken advantage of, and is being used, because she couldn't possibly know what she's doing. Not to say either teacher isn't an idiot in either situation, but the lack of consistency is stupid. /end off-topic ramble

100- I agree. I hate it when they make the girls look clueless in those situtations. I mean,they knew what they were getting into(most of them). And like you said, I'm not saying the teacher isn't an idiot for doing something like that, but still, not every girl in those situations are stupid...
