Today, I went hiking with my family. A local had told us about the trail, saying the two mile walk would lead us to a seventy-foot waterfall. After seven miles of trekking in the sweltering sun with no food, we finally found the waterfall. It was barely ten feet tall. FML

At least you got some exercise. And a ten foot waterfall is better than no waterfall at all

At least yiu and your family got a good bonding experience!

That man was once a dwarf.......... Scratch that even that's too small

Hell, it's still a waterfall! Sounds pretty cool no matter what the size.

Never trust them locals... Will do anything to get some extra tourism.

No matter what size the guide is, 70 feet should still be 70 feet!

Maybe it was the wrong waterfall? Or the went the wrong way? Anyway, I'd be really pissed off if that happened to.me

18, if you weren't threadjacking, I would totally agree with you.

Yep, 2! It's the journey, not the destination!

Perhaps he said seven feet tall not seventy foot tall. Crap meant to comment not reply

#5 shouldn't point your mistakes out so quickly

No kidding! That sounds like a lot of fun.

Or maybe he said a SEVEN mile walk and a TEN-FOOT waterfall, however due to faults in the spacetime fabric, not acquiring 1.21 gigawatts and various translational errors due to the TARDIS of power it became two miles and seventy feet.

askullnamedbilly 33

That has got to be the strangest and most misplaced Doctor Who reference I have ever read. What on earth is a TARDIS of power?

Wizardo 33

It was a mistake, it was meant to be 1.21 gigawatts of power but I botched the backspacing and re-typing, I'm on my phone you see. Anyway I'm ashamed of this comment, seppuku may be on the cards.

I thought 1.21 Gigawatt, was a "Back to the Future" reference.

Wizardo 33

It is, it was meant to be a mix of references that clearly backfired. Now I'm gonna make like a tree and get outta here.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.

Show it anyway

I gave it a like commenter. I think people should have looked at the spirit of the allusions and calmed down

38 - Now was that a Not Another Teen Movie reference? "Just believe in the ball... And throw yourself."

No #75, it's a back to the future reference.

Perhaps he said seven feet tall not seventy foot tall.

Did he also say 7 miles instead of 2?

The way I've seen a lot of people guessing on distance, it probably was two miles.

Something says he wasn't a local.

at least you went exercising :-) happy Easter

Unless the FML has to do with religion may be wise not to bring it up. Not everyone is Christian.

I'm ATHIEST. And to you, #62 - HAPPY ****** EASTER, asshat.

i know lots of people who arent Christians. doesnt mean we dont celebrate easter or mind getting wished a happy easter.

It has nothing to do with religion, it's all about the ******* candy... And that scary ass rabbit that ***** eggs of chocolate ;-;

I had the problem of saying merry Christmas to my friends and strangers, they all just said they're athiest, and don't celebrate it. I just thought that's how most of them are. Good to know they aren't all like that

It looks like you went to a different waterfall and it was the wrong trail. In any case I envy you for being able to to such a long exercise family bonding experience

disappointment. well always remember it could be worse

Possibly he said 7 foot but sounded like he said seventy. ?

Or he is a 7th the height of a normal human?

then it wouldnt be barely 10 feet tall
