By mywillyisdisappointed - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States
easy there 142... no need to get your panties all twisted up. unless... are YOU the girl who walked into his driveway???
No, I've just lived as a woman and seen too much shit in my time to think that a guy's bruised ego is more important than avoiding contact with creeps.
142, the OP flat out said "I was driving home from school." Meaning, he pulled up next to his house and asked the lady if she wanted a ride home, not that he hangs around his own driveway looking for girls to pick up. I'm a woman too and I think you need to give the victim card a rest, not all guys are pigs. When I was reading the FML it didn't even cross my mind that she wouldn't know who he was, no guy I know would offer a girl he didn't know a ride.
so what did you do just drive around the block what??? i would have been like "THATS SO FUNNY I LIVE HERE TOO YOU BITCH" in like a really snotty tone
#142 is ******* dumb. If a man drinks 2 cases of beer and a woman has a sip and they **** he gets rape charge, so dont even begin on the whole "woman problem" thing. And secondly, i hope i see this later: Today, I was walking home when this kid asked if i needed a ride. Not wanting to flat out reject him, I proceeded to walk up the next driveway and tell him i was already home. HIS driveway. FML
Not all guys are bad, but the ones that are don't really go around with "I WILL HURT YOU" signs on their heads, now do they? So you protect yourself like this girl did in case they are. If some guy's fee-fees got hurt because of that it's just too bad. I don't think I'm "playing the victim." I'm saying that if something happens to her driving with this guy, she'll get blamed. If he follows her home and does something bad to her, she'll get blamed. If she tries a deflection tactic, like here, she'll get blamed. I'm not assigning values to it; I'm just reporting what I see, and on this site it's that women can't get a ******* break. Yeah, okay #149, please look up sexual assault laws and see that inebriated rape is an extremely contentious issue, and note that under 10% of rape cases even see a trial, and then we'll get back to the subject of who gets screwed by the justice system.
You really should've then asked her "Woah, you live here too?! I never noticed." Would've been hilarious... Though this whole thing is pretty funny, IMO. I don't think she's a bitch or anything (I would've refused a ride unless I knew the person very well). I don't think it's an FML, just a thing to laugh at I think~
@OP, you were driving home? How come the girl walked to your house before you got there. You were driving. Your car must be slow or she's just really REALLY fast. @comment number 143, He said he was driving back from school. He said it was a girl he liked. Since he's driving home FROM school we can assume that they go to the same school. I doubt he was a random guy. He was trying to be polite. I don't think his feelings were hurt. The FML was most likely for the situation. Based on what you're saying, she'll get blamed for everything. So what exactly can she do to prevent getting blamed? She lets the guy drive her back, not EVERYONE will say "OMG WHY DID SHE RIDE WITH SOME RANDOM CREEP. SHE SHOULD HAVE MACED HIM/KILLED HIM/SCREAMED FOR THE POLICE". She COULD get molested, raped, assaulted or murdered, or he can decide they have a special bond, and since he knows where she lives, he can stalk, harass, or rape/murder her at her house at his earliest convenience but that isn't likely. From your logic we can all assume negative things as well. If she refuses a ride home from him, she COULD get molested, raped, assaulted or murdered by some random guy on the walk to her house. Actually, she could have probably have gotten molested, raped, assaulted or murdered while she was talking to him. o.ob

hahahhahahahaah...you should have pulled into the driveway and rolled down your window and said "woah you live here too??"
