Fyl op. I have size 5/8th gauges that are metal balls with tiny shark spikes on them and nothing is said to me. I hate how schools freak out over nothing. I mean, what can you do with a pair of earrings? Give someone Severe Poking Traumatization? My old school, when I was in size 10 gauges, said that my talon earring were dangerous and they made me take out my lipstud too. But hey, if you have a parent like my mom, have them go raise hell in the school and problem solved :) good luck with your idiotic school rules!

This kid stabbed me in the finger with a pencil when I was a freshman trying to stab his girlfriend. My teacher didn't care. Pencils shouldn't be allowed either.

Ugh. When I was in high school I was nearly suspended when I wore a spiked choker. Even after I calmly demonstrated to the principal that the whole necklace was, in fact, silicon rubber. I'm sure OP was wearing something similarly silly.
