Buckle up

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me for a familiar reason; I apparently have night terrors that make me "Impossible to sleep in the same room with." I don't ever remember these dreams. Every other girlfriend I've had has ended up breaking things off with me for the same reason. FML

People rarely remember night terrors, not your fault. Just find a nice deaf girl.

The fact that most of you don't know the difference between a nightmare and a night terror kind of makes me want to jab my eyeballs out. You can't remember night terrors.

Its actually not REM sleep when night terrors occur. You get stick in a cycle of sleep never making it to REM Seriously with the carbs like cookies and milk. when kids had nightmares and "terrors" the parent would bring them cookies because it helps you pass the "terror stage) and get to REM

Tip of the day: Don't sleep in one bed with your gf. If ur night terrors are that bad don't sleep with your gfs, just sleep in your own bed, you don't Have to sleep in the same bed as them.

Well, you should go see a doc about this. Sleeping in a different room than your gf/wife for the rest of your life ain't gonna solve anything.

Touching someone you are intimate with releases hormones (oxytocin IIRC) that help to reinforce the bond between you. Sleeping in the same bed is a good way to help you remain together as a couple. I agree with the posters suggesting that you should seek professional hep with this - you can't go through life leaving a trail of broken relationships if it's something that could be fixed. Since it's more than one girl, it probably is real and not just one psycho GF messing with your head!

You know you can get tested for that? They put you in a room and monitor you overnight. They may even be treatment available. That sucks OP. Being broken up with for something you can't control. Smdh @them for not trying to stick around and work on things.

Can't blame them! Night terrors are serious, even though you can't control them you should be seeing a sleep specialist. My brother gets them and wakes me up yelling from the other end of the house. Imagine what it would be like if you're in the same bed!
