Yeah, I'm with everyone in that they put the new sticker on your car. Unless you fail, but even then you get a fail sticker and a new date to get inspected
If you take your proof of inspection with the paperwork to the judge on your courtdate, the judge will "null-process" the case, or in other words, refuse to hear or dismiss the case. Most police jurisdictions have no problem with this... it's a VERY common thing. So, the only FML factor here is that you have to take 2 hours out of your day on your court date, wait until your docket comes up. Present your paperwork. Then walk out. No harm. No foul. Then maybe your mom will be more willing to work with you next time. This should be more of a reality check to HER than you. Just a minor inconvenience, no big deal. BREATHE!
You should be able to go to your court date and prove the inspection was up-to-date with the paperwork saying so and your fee should be waived, save the court fee.
Make her pay the fine, that's ****** up :/
My state puts the new inspection sticker on the car and the cops can look up your registration as being renewed so.....what's wrong with yours?
Couldn't you change your mailing address to your address at college? Time to cut ties to your parents if you can and get some independence!!
yea I live in taxachusetts #15 and even we get the inspection sticker right away and the cops can look up the registration renewal... so what state are you living in that doesn't do that?
#8 "Either way, your fault" is contradicting your previous statement. You said you didn't know exactly how it worked for him, yet you said it's his fault. Also, couldn't you show the inspection sticker in court or something? that would prove that you had it inspected and you wouldn't have to pay the fine.
Damn. Try to get your mom to pay for it, for sure.

Yeah, your mom definitely needs to pay that.
sounds like something my family would do too
