@bishopthom: Whats awesome about a little girl trying to kill the OP? or possibility, they store alot of peanut butter
Not only were you not watching as she took the peanut butter out, it took more than a couple seconds to spread it all over the stairs. YDI. Why would you need to tell the parents about YOUR peanut butter allergy anyway?
It's possible that the parents and the babysitter were discussing allergies. Maybe the child has one and allergies were just the topic of conversation. Also, its also a good idea to let the people you will be around knowif you have a severe allergy. What might have happened if the sitter got ahold of something that might have had traces of peanuts in it and she had a reaction, at least the parents know beforehand what is wrong. I have kids, my daughters 18 now but this is soooo something she would have done. Hell, its something she still would do. lol
she didnt say they were discussing the child's peanut allergy, she said that they might of been discussing the fact the child had an allergy in general which quite obviously wasnt for peanuts
LOL kids I'm Speechless!! Just WOW OH WOW LOL!!
That kid wins.
LOL, awesome kid. Hahaha.
How severe is this allergy? You were at risk of dying just from your face being over a metre away from open peanut butter, or the possibility of getting some on your skin? 'Cause if you were NOT at risk of dying, that's your cue to man up and take control of the situation like you should be.
It depends on the person. Some people will only have a reaction when eating it, but others have a peanut related allergy so serious that even breathing it in will cause a bad reaction. The OP did say that the allergy was severe, so maybe touching it would have led to some time in the hospital.
How did the evil thing get all that done "while you were watching her."?
Easy. You have 2 options: 1) Call the parents
babysitting charge FTW

..And this is the reason my husband may interact with our child, but not actually TEACH her anything. He'd do this, I know he would. FYL, she's too smart.
