Today, after being diagnosed with cat allergies, I explained to my cat-loving boyfriend that the doctor strongly recommended not allowing the cat in the bedroom. At 1:30 a.m. my boyfriend got out of the bed to go sleep in the spare room because, "the cat is sad." FML

Today, I went to the doctor to find out why I've been feeling so sick the past several weeks. Turns out, I'm severely allergic to the cat of my girlfriend of two years. I told her "It's me or the cat." She chose the cat. FML

Today, my boyfriend woke up wheezing terribly, aching, and sneezing. He's allergic to cats. I have 2 and they are my babies. He gave me an ultimatum, him or the cats. I haven't figured out how I'm going to tell him that I choose the cats. FML

Today, I brought my boyfriend to my house for the first time. He freaked out when he saw my cat, and had to leave because he's allergic. I've posted many pictures of my cat in Instagram, but he didn't say anything about his allergy because he thought it was just a random cat. FML

Today, to celebrate moving into a new apartment, my girlfriend decided she would get a kitten. She didn't know I'm allergic to cats. When I told her, she decided that she couldn't date someone who couldn't be around her cat; the one she doesn't have yet. FML

Never make someone choose between you and the pet they probably had before they knew you, and who will still love them after your relationship ends. Either take some antihistimines and deal with it, or accept defeat now.

That's pretty harsh but I wouldn't call this a FML unless he continually gets out of bed in the middle of the night to sleep with the cat.

I think that's pretty great actually. He loves his cat! Why does that make him gay/lame/a pussy? Do only gay people like cats or something? Apparently I missed that. Seriously people, reading some of the comments on FML can kill more brain cells than hard drugs. Take some allergy meds and try to deal with it. Prescription strength allergy meds will do you just fine and everybody wins.

LOL well your not alone. If my husband and I go on a trip, he has to get our 15 year old fat cat a treat so that the cat knows we still love him. When I kick the cat our of bed because he likes to sit on my head, I hurt its feelings and should apology's. Given the cat is his and hes had it sense he was little but come on its a cat lol. So dont worry your not alone, you learn to live with the odd ways. When he leaves to go make sure the cat is ok at night- I love getting back at least my half of the bed from my bed hogging hubby- think of the positives.

Get over yourselves. He loves his girlfriend and his cat. He left in the middle of the night. If your mad that he actually has feelings, you're an idiot. You could take the other morons advice on here and dump him. Then you could hook up with one of these winners that can treat you like crap.
