It would probably be really embarrassing to get it done by a stranger for the first time, so they turned to each other. Nothing strange about that. 16 isn't THAT young. It's a toss up. I mean, right after a lecture about privacy it really undermines the whole thing. However, that is not something I'd want to see. As a teenage girl myself, I probably wouldn't do any waxing while my dad was home just because my luck would be that he would just walk in not knowing any better. And it's not that weird for the girls to b doing this, i mean, it's waaay cheaper than going to a salon and bikini season is coming quickly. The problem I have is with the disrespect her FRIENDS gave you....I was raised in such a way that I can disagree with my parents but never my friends' parents.
