She's stupid for reacting that way. IMO, what you did was very sweet. Seriously dude there are many other girls out there who would have love to have been proposed like that.
aren't proposals supposed to be a surprise? if you knew how SHE wanted it to be, it wouldnt be a surprise. what the heck is wrong with her!?
How very selfish of her... she should be happy that you asked!!!
I can kind of see how people can think that it's a trashy way of proposing: it's not a candlelight dinner, fliet mignon, and a ring in a bubbling glass of champagne. Then again, it's different, and a lot of girls would like that, so I can't agree with those saying that "no girl" would want a proposal like that. You love(d?) her and wanted you family and the whole world to know that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her. A lot of girls would be flattered.
dude nice idea! that girls a little strange though

she should have been thankful, because that's incredibly sweet. i don't understand the obsession with proposals as long as you're genuinely in love and propose in a way that shows you care.
I've only known one other person who had a fiance who bitched about the WAY her boyfriend proposed. She turned out to be insane, and they ended up splitting up. If she's seriously going to cry because you didn't propose how she wanted you to, it's time to break up.
