That is an incredibly cute way to propose, don't feel bad.. That must have also cost you alot to she should be thankful
she shouldnt react like that cause its a sweet thing, but every girl when she is little dreams about her prince charming going down on 1 knee
Aw
She seems high maintenance.
Bitches be crazy.
I actually called my wife a bitch during my proposal, yes we are still married and have two kids together. The proposal didn't go the way I intended, but my wife hates surprises and secrets and knew I was up to something, so she had been bitchy the whole week up to and during what would have been my proposal.
Ungrateful bitch
My husband had organized a dinner with both of our families and all of our close mutual friends and proposed in front of all of them. I thought it was so thoughtful that he included everyone we are close to.... So I don't see a problem with OP having his family there.
Op, it's been 7 years, want to catch us up on how this story ended

she should have been thankful, because that's incredibly sweet. i don't understand the obsession with proposals as long as you're genuinely in love and propose in a way that shows you care.
I've only known one other person who had a fiance who bitched about the WAY her boyfriend proposed. She turned out to be insane, and they ended up splitting up. If she's seriously going to cry because you didn't propose how she wanted you to, it's time to break up.
