Has anyone thought of the fact that maybe she was more overwhelmed at the thought of having been proposed to in general? Some girls get so emotional over that and overreact. Either way, she was taking it way too far. Four hours? I personally find that to be very unique and romantic, but then again my idea of romantic is a little unorthodox. I guess she's more traditional ,but that doesnt give her an excuse to react like that. #14's comment is so hilarious!
my #16 comment was too harsh aparently. okay, i wont use the harsh part. i said, if i were you, i would have slammed her door off the hinges with a sledgehammer, and told her how much thought i put into this proposal and how much i wanted to be with her. then i would have dumped her.
My experience tells me she is not what you want. Think about it carefully, maybe this is not what YOU need.
UGh, I wouldn't want to be proposed to that way either. Tacky. S: And the whole family envited? No..... But hey, that's just me. It was still sweet of you. Either way, she's a whiny bitch crying for four hours.
Today, my girlfriend, Abby, called me in tears saying "Yes!" repeatedly. I asked her what she was talking about and she sobbed something about a plane. I haven't yet mustered the courage to tell her it wasn't for her. FML.
it was kinda sweet of you but also way too much... I would have been life WTF? too... but I would not have locked myself in and cried for 4 hrs... and to all the guys out there: DO NOT PROPOSE INFRONT OF FAMILY!!! that just trying to embarrass someone into saying yes...
agree with #1 and #29... If u really want to spend life with her, u should know what and how she likes. Were u proposing HER or just tried to show off? And yes, it seems there are a lot of problems in that relationship...
what a melodramatic bitch. i hope you returned the ring and dumped her.

she should have been thankful, because that's incredibly sweet. i don't understand the obsession with proposals as long as you're genuinely in love and propose in a way that shows you care.
I've only known one other person who had a fiance who bitched about the WAY her boyfriend proposed. She turned out to be insane, and they ended up splitting up. If she's seriously going to cry because you didn't propose how she wanted you to, it's time to break up.
