Encouragement

Today, I'd finally reached my goal weight. I went into the office where my husband was, to show him the new size 8 jeans I'd bought. He responded with "I wouldn't buy any more clothes, you'll be putting the weight back on again soon." FML

Prove him wrong girl, he's a jerk : )

Two possibilities: A) He's insecure now that OP's improved her appearance— and more importantly, has gained confidence— that he's got to tear her self-esteem down to keep her to himself or to make himself feel better about his own flaws, or B) He's a total douche. Sorry OP; don't let him steal your pride in yourself.

#77 Size 8 isn't stick-thin, but it's certainly not big. :/

It's an Australian size 8, which is almost too skinny... my friend's an 8 and she models bikinis... I think it's like a 2 or 0 in the US

Sounds like it's time to cut about 200 lbs of ugly fat from your life.

He could be right. Most people who diet end up putting the weight back and may even become fatter.

While I imagine it would be devastating to hear this, your husband does have a point. In most weight lost cases, people gain the weight back. That isn't to say that it'll happen to you, but statistically speaking, it is very probable that it will happen.
