Fake it til you make it

Today, bouncing at a local bar. I I.D.'d a girl with a group of people. I told her that next time she used a fake I.D., she at least should get one with a picture that looked like her. She started crying and ran off. A guy told me that she had been in a car wreck, and had been badly disfigured. FML

Like a lot of people before me have said: You couldn't have known she'd been in a car accident necessarily. This particular case of judgment may have been in error, but at least you did what you thought was right....even though it made you look like an ass.

not your fault at all. also the girl could've been a bit more understanding and not have run out crying like that. she should have gotten her ID updated to avoid this kind of thing

completly fake your definatly not bouncing today since this was posted at 12:51pm. If your going to make this up or write an old story at least make sure its at night. People dont go to clubs during the afternoon, stupid.

when it's your job to kick out anyone who's not of the right age, you can hardly take time to word in a manner that is considerate to the hypothetical situation of each and every customer. "Oh, maybe this one had a nose job! Or a face lift!" "Oh, maybe this one accidentally poured acid on himself!" no. if i were the girl, i would've taken into consideration the fact that I obviously don't look like i did before the accident and that this guy was doing his job and nothing else. #128 - WRONG. i read your post. =P OP, don't feel like a douche. no biggie. she'll get over it.

If she had any scars you probably should have looked into it. If not then it is your job to remove people who don't look like their I.D. For all you know that could have been a backup plan if you didn't let her in.

when in doubt: 1) alternate ID please. when in further doubt: 2) confiscate it. chances are, if they're caught using fake id, they'll throw a fit about it. and you just tell them to call the cops or local authority. =) EDIT: apologies for the half finished post above..dunno what happened..
