Today, my mother-in-law sent me a pedometer for my birthday. I've been confined to a wheelchair for most of my life. FML

For her birthday send her mens clothing, like socks, boxer shorts shirts etc. but take out the labels and make sure they wouldn't fit her husband.

there's a reason people call mother-in-law a monster...

I'm going out on a limb here but was it the type that tracks movement and calorie loss, like a fit bit type thing. It could have been for fitness reasons and have nothing to do with the fact that you are in a wheelchair. If it was just a mean gift, return it and buy something you want.

fitbits are pedometers. pedometers are things that track movement, given that they are for counting the amount of steps you take in a day.

A coffin is usually rather expensive, so if you consider the value of the "gift" she might be better off finding something else

Maybe she didn't realize what it was for? Maybe I still hold too much faith in humanity.

Use it to count the number of steps you shove her down for being a super douche!

I'm not sure what a pedometer is but I'm gonna assume it's not what I think it is...

At first I was wondering why grandma would give OP a meter that detects pedophiles! & then I read "wheelchair" & realized I was reading with a dirty mind. Anyways OP wheelchair wheelies are better than a pedometers!
