Today, a guy I went on one date with asked me out again via text. Being honest, I texted back, politely saying that he was a good guy but I wasn't really interested. He came over to my house, screaming about how awful I was for "text message breaking up with him" and then cracked my windshield. FML

Today, after dating a guy for 2 months, things seemed to be going well. I offered to buy dinner and trusted he would keep in mind that I'm a college student on a budget. He picked the restaurant, ran up the bill over $100, made me pay, and dumped me right after. FML

Today, I went on a date to the movies with this guy I kinda like. When he was driving me home, he asked me to be his girlfriend; I said I couldn’t because it was really bad timing. He kicked me out of the car, called me an asshole, and made me walk home. FML

Today, I confessed to my boyfriend that many years before we met, I once slept with a guy in my college for $500 just so I could avoid becoming homeless before my next student loan kicked in. He dumped me because he “doesn’t date whores”. FML

My dad is a rich man but dresses like a nerdy bum. I remember being so embarrassed by his attire when we were in public as a kid cause other classmates mercilessly teased me about it. A prime example, buying a brand new high end suv while wearing a hawaiian shirt he had since the 1970s, and ratty pair of acid washed jeans from the 90s, socks with sandals. The hole in the jeans he fixed with duct tape, seriously.....duct tape. One salesman ignored us, I could feel the eyes and whispers all around us. The second sort of paid attention out of duty and was astonished when my dad paid cash.
