Grossed out

Today, after threatening my son for weeks that if he didn't clean his room, I would, I went in, equipped with a garbage bag, ready to throw away everything I found, only to discover dozens of empty bottles, two partially empty pizza boxes, Taco Bell wrappers, and cockroaches. FML

Well that's a useless threat. "Do your chores or I will for you!"

What's the problem? You should've known what you were getting into.

My mom threatened me like that once. I picked up everything I wanted to keep and left out my garbage and stuff. I just stared off into space while she was lecturing me. :P

That's some awesome parenting skills you have there. "if you don't clean your room, I will". "If you don't mow the lawn, I will". "If you don't take out the trash, I will". I think I work with people that grew up like your son. They just expect everyone else to do their work for them. Thank you.

You got to threaten him with taking something he cares about away from him not that you'll do the job for him. Stuff like "No you can't go out" or "Ill keep that xbox til I think you deserve it". Your boss wouldn't say "If you don't do your work I'll do it for you". It would be more like "If you don't do your work I'll fire you".

BTW Although filth may attract cockroaches, it doesn't magically turn in to them. They have to already be in the immediate vicinity to notice the filth.

thats why spanish parents hit their kids! a whack or five on the ass with the metal side of a belt, an outlet, or even just a slipper, it got me respecting my parents and if i even raised my voice a little bit, one of them would bitch slap me! THATS how its done, and then when theyre teens, throw things (Xbox PS 3 etc) on the ground, call him over and trll him u found it on the floor and throw it out lol!

If he is going to act like a baby treat him like one, once you are done cleaning his room strip it down, bare bones, two pairs of pants, two shirts, one pair of shoes, a bed, with no blanket sheets or pillows and throw all his other shit the **** out. Then tell him that if he cannot keep this clean then you will take away the mattress. That's what my mom would do if I disrespected our home like that.

Make sure you take everything out of his room, his bed, his desk, everything, and only leave the rubbish . . .

Wow. You're a walked-on push-over. You have trained your spawn to be worthless.
