Grow up

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, because apparently I need to "grow up". He's the one who excessively plays Call of Duty and still has Pokémon and Bionicles in his room. FML

Dude, your boyfriend broke up with you and you posted a whiney FML about it? Who -really- needs to grow up?

Yep, you definately need to grow up. There's nothing wrong with playing video games and having 'collectables' (aka Toys) as long as they don't take over your life. Your childish reaction to this breakup shows me that you need to grow up regardless if he does or not.

Bottom line: YOU DO need to grow up. Its a huge sign of immaturity when someone else's hobbies, clearly different than yours (which probably feature nagging, along with harping), bother you so much that you tell them they're babyish. Adults play video games now, and Lego's are the most respectable 'toy' to be creative with. People use them up till age 107, when they die. Get over yourself. I promise you your vampire romance movie makes you less mature.

what's so immature about COD? instead of being whiney like you, i join my boyfriend and play with him and it's so much fun :) the game is about war... if you think it's immature then you think anyone who has faught and defended our country is immature

Oh and #190, little kid references, hitting the pause button jokes are both rather immature in themselves, I'm 16 and like to play games, and I'm managing a more polite post than you are, but hey, I'm just a "geeky guy" who by your post needs to grow up, so what would I know?

Get over yourself Call Of Duty is awesome! He probably broke up with you because you are a pain in the ass, and you don't understand the need in playing Call Of Duty.

I love how everyone's saying that she's the immature one for whining about his hobbies and yet most of the clicks have gone to "I agree, your life is f*cked" rather than "you deserved that one"/

Nothing childish about CoD, and he's probably had the Pokémon stuff around for years and just never bothered to put it away.

#190-same here, and many video games actually have a story that you need to be mature enough to fully understand example, killzone2 is really telling you how brutal the Nazi party was, but it also showed some of the soldiers have a human side to them, however an immature person not only wouldn't realize this but would be mystified at the amount of blood that sprays out of a body after getting a headshot

also being 16 about be be 17 I play with all three of those and my friends call me the mature/responsible one

There's nothing wrong about video games or Pokemon, for that matter. The game has gotten more complicated since the 90s. He must've been talking about your lack of maturity (emotion wise)
