Hard pass

Today, while working at the hospital, I had a patient with a blocked bowel. It was so bad, feces were entering into her stomach. While leaning down to talk with her, she threw up. I was both vomited and defecated on at the same time. FML

I'm sorry... Gah that sucks! I would puke back on her!!!

To Mr. Reference A Medical Book: I did reference a medical book. If you look at the small print right below the definition on this webpage http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/fecal+vomiting you will see: The American Heritage® Medical Dictionary Copyright © 2007, 2004 by Houghton Mifflin Company. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company. All rights reserved. So, please, take the time to do your homework before making baseless accusations.

To all you morons crying fake - it's not. It's entirely possible. And #153, just because you CAN get a perforated bowel doesn't mean that you always will. #192 - YOU obviously have no understanding of the human digestive system so STFU. This happened to a friend of mine in medical school - his patient basically vomited diarrhea from being blocked up for a number of days... FYL buddy, but it does come with the territory!

FYL. We all appreciate all the bs people in your field go through. Sucks for both of you honestly

Also, do a Pubmed search for "copremesis" and you'll come up with an article published in a German gastroentology journal in 2002. Copremesis is listed as a symptom of gastrocolic fistula. Copremesis is, of course, the vomiting of fecal matter (look up the definition if you don't believe me).

Fyl, but I feel worse for the pacient. Being so clogged up that poop comes out your mouth is much worse than getting it on your clothes.

Holy shit #11. Are you serious? Can I have your name? So I can make sure never to have you as my doctor. Hopefully you're in your first semester or year of med school... but still.

THIS CAN REALLY HAPPEN. I'm not going to flick through a medical textbook to show you it can happen, but seriously, go ask your local doctors. OP: FYL. So so much.

That sounds pretty "shitty" man.
