Today, I found a lost dog and called the owner. When he arrived, I thought it would be cute to put the dog down so he would run back into his owner's arms, like in movies. As soon as I put the dog down, it ran away again. FML

That dog is an asshole, but I bet the owner hates their life more. I can see it now: "today my dog ran away...twice. FML."

I think he was being facetious about OP's word choice.

22 - he was holding the dog and set its paws on the ground to walk to its owner!

If I was the dog, I'd run away too with all these comments to euthanize it!

I guess he doesn't like his owner

Maybe the owner will finally get the hint.

Maybe there's a reason the dog didn't wanna go home.

I remember when I was about 8yrs old, I found a boxer dog roaming loose. I saw its ID tags and contacted the owner. The woman walked to my house with a baseball bat in her hands. She grabbed the dog by its collar, thanked me and commenced to beating the dog with the bat for running off. I was horrified.

That's horrible! I hope that either you or a responsible adult contacted some form of authority. Poor boxer...

For a couple seconds I was too scared and shocked to say anything. Then I started screaming at her to stop. She finally did and then dragged the scared dog away. I ran inside my house and told my dad, but he didn't do anything!

You're fully capable of contacting the police yourself, and your dad's a heartless prick.

That's when you take the bat from her, beat the almighty **** out of her, and walk to dog back into your house where it shall remain.

Exactly, #143. He was 8, he can't really be held accountable. It's a shame your dad didn't call any authority, though, #93! The poor dog must've really suffered...
