Today, I found a lost dog and called the owner. When he arrived, I thought it would be cute to put the dog down so he would run back into his owner's arms, like in movies. As soon as I put the dog down, it ran away again. FML

That dog is an asshole, but I bet the owner hates their life more. I can see it now: "today my dog ran away...twice. FML."

Today, the family I think would keep me decided to return me to my miserable old home. The dad hold me out and let me run towards my old master. Woof.

You nearly gave me a heart attack when I read the words "I thought it would be funny to put the dog down"! I guess writing about violent dog euthanization laws (putting them down) and reading animal FMLs don't mix well. At least it sounds like you didn't put him down like Don Rickles would put down a heckler- that would certainly make him want to run away!

when your idea ends with "like in movies", that's a sign its probably not a very good idea
