Today, I pulled someone over for speeding. He was only 10 over the speed limit so I gave him an $84 fine. It turns out he is a workplace Occupational Health and Safety officer and because I wasn't wearing my high visibilty vest while standing on the side of the road he gave me a $250 fine. FML

Today, I was pulled over by a cop and was fined $210 for making an illegal u-turn. When the cop finished writing my ticket and hopped in his car, he made the same u-turn. FML

Today, I was pulled over and was given a $300 ticket for going 90mph on a 70mph highway. The cop swore he saw my silver car darting in and out of traffic. A couple of minutes earlier that exact car had passed me while I was following the speed limit. FML

Today, I got pulled over for speeding and got a $200 ticket. After I pulled away, I decided to warn the next car about the cop up ahead by flashing my headlights. The next car was another cop. He didn't appreciate my "help". FML

Today, I was pulled over by a police officer for speeding. After writing the ticket, he asked me why I was wearing a surgical mask. I told him that swine flu was found in our area and I was scared. He thought that I was insulting him and wrote me another ticket. FML

Today, I got pulled over for speeding. Knowing how much more it would cost in the long run, I handed the officer my license with $300 in cash, "as something to consider for just a warning." He came back with a ticket and verbally warned me that police bribery is a felony. He kept the money. FML

Today, I crashed into a pole on purpose as a cop pulled me over for speeding. I figured the officer would feel bad for me and that the cost of fixing my car would be less than a ticket. He gave me one anyway. FML

Today, I was on the way to traffic court for a $340 speeding ticket I'd got. My mother called me and I wasn't paying attention which caused me to speed. Right past a cop. When I told the cop where I was going, he started laughing at me. I now have another $300 ticket. FML

school zones are 25 mph. I've never seen anything sub 25. In NOVA you'd be more likely to get pulled over for doing the speed limit than 10 over. 10 over is the norm. You're not speeding until its 15 or more over. F*ck the police. Pulling someone over for 10 over is just being a dick.

Cops pull you over when you speed. it's their damn job and that's what they're supposed to do. It's YOUR fault for speeding, especially ten over (and they usually pull people over for going over that much.) How ever he does deserve it for not following the rules. As a cop, he definitely should be adhering to the laws he's supposed to uphold.

$84 for 10 over? Jeeeeez. Ridiculous! >:( Buuuuuut, YDI for half-assing your job. You probably want the power of being a police officer, but don't want to follow the rules for your own ******* safety. Unless you just forgot today, in which case it's understandable to make a mistake every now and then. Granted, as an officer... someone who enforces safety and laws... you should be setting a good example every day you're on duty. But like I said, we all make mistakes. Please, OP... for your own good (and not just for your wallet's sake), remember to wear the vest next time!

My guess is zero. Because cops NEVER write impeding traffic tickets. Even though driving slowly is more dangerous because it gets all of the cars closer together, making an accident more likely to occur.
