Today, I found out that if you leave a can of soda in parked car during a heatwave, it will explode all over everything. My car is like a human glue trap. FML

So now you can either choose between driving with the windows closed during a heatwave and die of the heat, or drive with the windows open and attract all sort of insects :D Of course you'd have to sit in the 'human glue trap' at each of the options. Have fun :D

yes, as matter of fact. it's the sugar ghat makes it sticky....diet is easier to clean up

He's lying. They proved on mythbusters that it would take an oven to heat it enough to explode. Fail.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but the people on mythbusters are full of crap. Just because they weren't able to recreate something on the particular week they were 'experimenting' does not make it a scientific impossibility. I can't imagine the three people whose car interiors I've seen covered in soda got in their vehicles in the middle of summer and simply splashed it everywhere. Get your car detailed. Soda is incredibly difficult to clean of the car ceiling and will stain.

Ok the mythbusters thing...the people saying this person is lying. Yall are dumb! Yall say on mythbusters that they said it would take an oven to heat up the can to make it explode. You idiots! Do you even know how hot a freakn car can get if its during the summer with the windows rolled up? Its hot just like an oven. If a baby can die from being in a hot ass car then a can of pop CAN explode! I know because it happened to me too!

I work in public service and was tasked with checking the temperature of a vehicle after a child was found inside with it closed up and not running. outside temp 113. humidity 85%. vehicle with door open 176. vehicle with door closed after 10 mins. (child was in it over 45) 202. kinda like an oven...... dumbass

Also a can of soda in a freezer will explode. my brother's friend put one in our freezer once like 5 years ago. we are still finding orange soda in it.

I've done that before. Also, everyone saying YDI for not knowing that... maybe they forgot it was in the car. My boyfriend left his pop in my car and I didn't notice. Next day, gooey mess.
