How very dare you?

Today, I told my mom about the couple of times that I'd skipped classes during high school. She got really mad and grounded me for a month. That would usually be normal except for the fact that I'm 27 and live in my own apartment. FML

So if you live in your own apartment, how is this a FML? Just don't listen. Duh. I know 13 year olds who know how to rebel against a grounding in their own home better than this.

looks like its time for your mom to finally cut the umblelical cord

I believe this FML, because this actually happened to my friend's brother. He's 20 and he was grounded when he told his mom that he faked sick a couple times when he was in high school. He lives in his own apartment, but it happened when he came to visit one time. Some parents are a little crazy, I guess.

So why didn't he go back home? I would've.

...so what do you have to worry about then?

So, she can't actually do anything, so the only FML here is that you have a crazy mother.

Who the **** cares if she "grounded" you? It's not like it's enforceable.

Come one, if you're going to make something up, let it be funny.

I think the point of the FML *is* that the mom is crazy enough to try this. If not, then someone needs a motherectomy.

How can your mom ground you when you don't live with her and you're not dependent on her at all?
