Today, I was at work on a smoke break. I work at a truck stop, and it was around 2 a.m. Some old man pulled in and asked me if I would like to join him for some dinner. I said no, and told him I was working. He replied, "How much do you charge?" Apparently, even in sweats I look like a hooker. FML

Not even sweats can hide all that sexy!

Here's one reason to quit smoking that you probably never thought of up until now. The list is apparently never-ending.

47: If I worked the midnight shift at a truck stop, I'd wear sweat pants too.

Don't flatter yourself, to be a truck-stop ***** you don't have to look hot, you merely have to look vaguely female.

YDI for smoking. No, seriously. And, sweats at work? Really? Not even jeans, but sweats? How professional.

yea cus working as a trucker at 2am you really need to look professional are you really that stupid?

Even so, it still surprises me that she can wear sweats. I work two retail jobs and can't even wear jeans... I mean, it's still work, still seems like you should dress appropriately. So, yeah, apparently I am just that "stupid" then.

OP, you were outside a truckstop at 2AM in sweats. Yes, you looked like a lot lizard.

Don't be offended, truck drivers drive trucks because MacDonald's won't hire them. it's really not their fault, so FT(their)L

My father in law is a OTR trucker. He makes decent money. Close to 1300 a week after taxes. Yeah, not Wall Street cash, but it's a living. OP, as you well know working at a truck stop, there are certain things you don't do. Telling a trucker your working, when you are actually sitting outside smoking, is kind of the number one rule. So, YDI.

Totally agree, 72. Trucking is one of those skill trades, and there's nothing shameful about it at all. As for the FML... I have zero reason to know anything about the trucker subculture, yet even I would know not to do that. How can OP possibly not know the implications of that response? And if she does know and just had a brainfart, why phrase that last bit the way she did?

hooker... truckstop worker... I think it was a compliment... he was assuming you made more than minimum wage.

68: Do you realize most of the items you buy, get to the store because a truck driver hauled it there? They have an important job.
