Today, my dog farted next to my CPAP sleep/breathing machine. The machine sucked up her fart, compressed it, and promptly injected it up both of my nostrils. FML

Those increase your chances but def. not the only reasons... And actually having it can increase your chances of having obesity and many other health problems. Hope it's not ever something you have to deal with... p.s. OP I have heard this story soooo many times when I worked at an ENT and could never laugh until later.... it was great to read this and be able to lmao!

Soldiers coming back from deployment who were healthy before they shipped out are using these CPAP machines too. Their once healthy lungs,permanently damaged from the toxins released from nearby burn pits. 
