Today, I was at the grocery with my 4 year-old daughter. She needed me to tie one of her shoes so I bent down. When I was done, I tickled her under the armpit, and she screamed, "Don't touch me there!" Everyone in the store turned to stare. FML

Today, I was in a shopping centre when a little girl was running up and down the aisles. She started to fall over so I put my hand out to catch her. Her mother then ran up to me and screamed about me 'touching her child' so loud that everyone could hear. FML

Today, I was working the register at a local grocery store. A kid about 5 years old was having trouble zipping his jacket. I reached out to help him and he started screaming "No bad touch bad touch!" and kicked me in the knee. Everyone looked. FML

Today, my daughter and I went to the mall. While we were looking for clothes, she walked away from me and touched a man on the arm and smiled and said "Hi!" The man freaked out and screamed at me for letting that "thing" in public and to "wear a condom next time." FML

Today, I went to the store with my 4-year-old daughter. While I was trying to change into tight jeans, which weren't completely on, my daughter opened the curtain and yelled, "It's the Mommy Show!" Everyone there heard her and saw me. FML

Today, I discovered the downside to having a "sneak-attacks-allowed" tickle war with my 4-year-old son. I had to explain to several outraged strangers at the supermarket why my son kept flinching and pulling away whenever I made any sudden movements near him. FML

Today, while at the grocery store an elderly woman farted very loudly next to me. Everyone in the aisle looked our way. The woman pointed at me, and left the aisle. I received many disgusted looks from children and their parents. FML

Today, I was playing with my 3-year-old nephew when he suddenly got up and ran to his mom to tell her I was "touching in bad spots". I was tickling his armpits. FML

Today, I was at the mall with my girlfriend's family. Her 7 year old brother told me he was feeling sad, so I tried to give him a pat on the back, but it turns out he had a bruise there. He yelled out "don't touch me there!" In the middle of the mall. Now her parents think I'm a pedophile. FML

Wow some people here really shouldn't have kids. Spanking itself is usually lazy parenting done only for the parents' benefit, not the child's. I think it should be reserved for last resorts or if the child is about to do something otherwise harmful(running in a street, trying to touch a stove etc...) Those of you suggesting she be hit or punished for this: do you realize that if something like molestation really did happen, she might not speak up about it due to fear of getting hit again? These things stay in children's minds whether or not you believe so. She is a human, not someone's property. I know society views children as mere property of their parents but they are seperate humans with the right to say "no" to unecessary physical contact. The tickling wasn't abusive at all, she just was annoyed and expressed it, which she had every right to do.

What people fail to realize is that spanking a child only makes the child hate you and want to get away from you when they get older. I know I would! Sure you brought them into this world but how are you gonna feel when they get older and Disown you from being their parent. Of course There needs to be discipline but spanking, I believe it is abuse because it's something that dates back to slavery when slaves misbehaved. Do you really want your child in that position? Also did you know most serial killers were abused as a child. (P.S. This is my opinion fell free to think otherwise. ) Anyway FYL for the embarrassment =)

My bother and I were spanked and we did not grow up to fear or hate our parents. We behaved well because of it. I'm glad I was spanked. I think parents should spank. It's in no way abuse and kids are not going to grow up to hate them. If I had kids I would spank them.

IMO the people who said that the child should have been beaten, need to be castrated so that they can't have kids. Children aren't entitled rights anymore? that's one BIG step back for society...

I can't lie...I'm a camp counselor and once I tickled a kid under his arm...then another counselor walked past and gently hit him on the side of his head as a joke....the boy turned around and blamed me stating "I know it was you...you always touch me" Yeah I was mortified.

LOL! That's fantastic! I lawled all over the place. P.S. - when I was 17 I dated a guy who was 21 (which I think is frowned upon if not illegal) and I used to randomly say that all the time cos I was a minor! Hehehehehehe, he hated it! XD So funny tho!

Um, where I live, the age of consent is 16 or 17. And that's not bad. I'm... idk, I guess "talking to" a guy who's 22 and I'm 18. I've seen a lot worse in terms of age differences.

so sad....the girl surely doesn't have boobs yet....what society are we becoming when a man have to restricts his physical touches with his own daughter?....i guess later on hugging her or giving her a piggy back ride would also be consider sexual abuse....such narrow minds....
