I have never enjoyed the ways that Americans brutalise our language, but then to be told that we're the ones at fault! BTW, you cant even spell correctly in American, learn the differences between you're and your.
I live in the US and it is embarrassing to see fellow American's using slang, and I'm only 21.
I live in the UK. It is embarrassing to see fellow English speakers misusing apostrophes, whilst trying to be high and mighty about usage of slang, and I'm only 16.
that sucksssss
I didn't have the patients to read every comment, but then again who would. As far as i can tell A. English started as an Anglo-Frisian language and was brought to Britain in the 5th Century AD by Germanic settlers from various parts of northwest Germany, it broke off in to two families one settled in Britan and the other near current day France, so THATS where english came from and B. Why is everyone so angry about the word mum? Here in the states people often pronounce father as fafer (especially around west virginia) reguardless i think your all a bunch of ignorant fools, but then again opinions are like ass holes. BTW:ta bron orainn cloisteail faoi do bhuachaill (oh no the scary american can speak irish) :P better luck to you on your next b/f
