Actually, "Shat" is a perfectly acceptable past tense form of "Shit", both are allowable past tense versions. It's similar to how both 'fish' and 'fishes' can be the plural of 'fish'.

Reminds me of the time in HS when these two dudes were fighting and one got punch in the gut so hard he shitted in his pants. Never saw him again after that incident.
