OP didn't get the response she wanted but I think she got the one she needed
I was pretty butthurt after a big breakup. but she moved on pretty quickly and had like 3 girlfriends by the time I finally felt ready to date. everybody heals at different paces. but sending angry texts/calls etc will only aggravate you when you don't get a response that you expected. exes are exes for a reason. don't wish anyone bad and move on. closure is always ideal; but you usually don't get it and will always wonder "what if." but don't let that rule your life. I don't have a girlfriend right now, but I'm sure things will open up soon. I'm sure it will for you too OP :)
That was you who sent that?
that is a rather insensitive reply. sorry op
It was him
I can understand wanting to show him you've done better for yourself, but if it's been that long something is going to get lost in the message. If it's been that long has gone by it just seems weird/creepy and doesn't really seem like you are doing better if you are going out of your way to do so. Also, messaging your ex just to vent and brag about how much better things are now? I can't imagine what sort of vindication you thought he was going to give you.
If its been long enough since you two have spoken, let alone broke up that you actually had to dig for his number and not know that he's changed it. Then odds are its been too long for you to still have all that animosity towards him. Move on.
You deserved it, for trying to make your ex feel bad
