Today, my daughter learned that if she rips a toy out of its package in front of a store employee, mommy will be forced to buy it. She now has two new toys today. FML

Just pay and leave the toys in the shop. Also punish her for being a brat.

She shouldn't be allowed to have "two new toys" , you have to teach her that YOU decide when it's time to spend money.

true, you are obligated to buy it, but not obligated to give it to her. throw the toys in the trash while she watches. then when you get home, give her a good spanking.

pretend that because you bought those toys you can't pay you're bills and have to move out that'll teach her

now you need to take the new toys and give them away to another child. when she sees she can't keep them she will not open them.

I was going to say YDI for allowing your daughter to keep the toys, but it seems that everyone else in the world has beaten me to it. Good to know there are still some people who know how to raise a child properly. Teach your kid some morals.
