Sorry but I don't buy this one. The kind of chickens you use to lay eggs are not typically the kind of chickens you cook up for dinner, except maybe as chicken soup when they get old. Not only that but any farm person wouldn't go and kill the egg laying chickens or the roosters as they have too much value living. Plus the time consideration of butchering two chickens makes this far fetched. I just don't see this happening.
This. I wish people would stop making up crap just so they can get a post on this site.
Agreed! I smell BS!
Vegetarians are retards, they sure showed you =D
22 ftw
22 said exactly what I wanted to say. For every animal you people don't eat, I intend to eat 3 Theres a food chain for a reason, you idiot!
Some people are vegetarians purely for health reasons. I'm not a vegetarian, but I can't blame them for wanting to find alternative sources of protein instead of having pounds (yes, pounds) of red meat sitting in their stomach by age 40. Granted, chicken is not red meat, but there are still many benefits that come with having a meat-free diet.
what the mug, they just killed your chickens without checking with you first?? that's really irresponsible of them to just go and do that... farmers should know it especially well that they need to know what the animal is used for before they serve it for din-din. thats like straight up eating a Dairy cow...
Oh my God!!! >.< thats HORRIBLE!!! I would MURDER those parents!!! How could they? I mean they're YOUR pets, how dare they slaughter them like that! I'm also a vegetarian and come from a long line of farmers and I also plan to have chickens soon, but obviously not for food. I am so sorry for your loss! And anyone who says smart-ass comments about vegetarians, piss off.
#13....what you said makes me never want to eat chicken eggs again -.o lol jk. but still....what happened after you saw the steaming plates of chicken? (now i want chicken :( )
that sucks. did you fiancé's parents know you're a vegetarian? if not, you should have told them. If so, then... serve them the family dog?
#13, well if they had a rooster then the eggs would be fertilized. And even if it isn't fertilized it's more like the ovulation cycle, not the menstrual cycle, the egg is released during ovulation.
if they were visiting you. why would you let them make you dinner? shouldnt you have made them dinner? cuz thats the polite thing to do when someone comes to visit?
it says the parents told them to leave that means they offered. when someone offers something it's also the polite thing to do to accept it

Awwwwww, that's so sad!!! Like they served you the family dog... So, did you tell them, or did you try to 'man up'?
That sucks bad! I would have burst out crying right in front of their eyes... I can't believe people are clicking YDI =/
