Today, my 13 year-old son had a seizure in the middle of his history class. We were at the hospital for three hours and several expensive tests later he informed me he faked the seizure so he could get out of a group presentation. He was so proud that he was such a good actor. FML

Take that money spent out of any gifts/allowances he was going to get in any future holiday or birthday. Maybe that will teach him not to do something so serious.

I'm not even going to lie, that's pretty impressive.

Haha.. The kids got skills. Good on him

Good actor??!! Not amusing or even slightly funny. I love FML, but this horrifies me, especially the ignorant comments. My child has Epilepsy. I've had to helplessly watch her have countless Grand Mal seizures. Try watching the person you love the most have a seizure. Efffff "good acting" how about a lesson in human decency and respect. Honestly, find it a little hard to believe. I mean unless he studied a seizure; they're not like what you see on TV. There is almost always a state of confusion and no memory of the seizure or a few minutes after it. I assume it was a fake grand mal, the common one people associate with seizures. He'd have to have done his research to know exactly what to do to make people believe him. it would have been easier to do the presentation. I actually have epilepsy and have researched it.

I applaud him. I couldn't have done that that well.

I have to say, that's pretty impressive. Maybe he could become an actor?

Knowing how expensive an ER or urgent care visit is, that was very inappropriate of him to do. If he did not study then it's hit grade. That is a huge worry for parents everywhere to hear their child had a seizer!! I'm sorry OP! Hopefully they now understand why that was wildly inappropriate!

So he's embarrassed to stand up in front of 20-30 people and talk for 5 minutes, but not embarrassed to fake a seizure in front of them? I think there are more tests to run.
