Milkmaid

Today, when done feeding my newborn, I stated to my husband that I'm a cow. He said, in a sincere tone, "Oh, baby, you'll lose the weight soon." I meant cow because I'm producing so much milk. FML

Ah, I could understand his mistake, double meaning! You said it!!!

I don't see how this is an FML. You have baby weight. Your husband isn't making a huge deal of it. BTW, "cow" is usually synonymous with being overweight. All mammals breastfeed.

awww that's so mean =[ I moderated this one =]

Stop complaining, he's trying to comfort you and be nice, and you spit it back in his face. Everyone gains weight after having a baby, and I'm sure you have too.

Everyone gains weight when they give birth. There's nothing wrong with that. And your husband didn't seem to mind, so I don't see the problem.

I believe the phrase is "fat as a cow" not "put out milk like a cow". He was right to assume that you meant fat because you probably are seeing how everybody gains weight after giving birth. YDI for overreacting.

well, you probably have more weight than usual because of the baby. Thats a fact, he was trying to comfort you. Did you think you weren't heavier than you were before?

here i'll speak so you can understand me "mooo..." jk =]

Hahaha aw. At least he was being sweet, or so he thought. :)

easy mistake.. you just had a baby therefore you have some extra weight from having a baby
