Mount Everest

Today, my boss asked if I could spare a few minutes to finish off the last of his paperwork backlog. I'm pretty desperate for a raise, so I said sure. Turns out the "small", "should-take-a-few-minutes" backlog consists of 3 desk-high stacks of documents. Goodbye, cruel world. FML

If your boss is treating you like that, I wouldn't be too confident about a possible raise. Might want to look for work outside the office-slave industry

Just think of the raise... Good luck op

The sort of boss who will mislead you into doing their work for them is the same sort of boss who will take credit for your work and then deny you a raise. I've worked for this sort of person before, many times, and for a long time I did whatever was necessary to get the job done because I took pride in my work... however I've learnt through hard experience that you don't wait for the second lie. The very first time someone lies to you or misleads you then start looking for a new job, because no matter how hard you work you'll get nowhere in that company.

That's sucks..but I mean at least you get some kind of a raise..?
