Today, I decided to make pancakes from scratch. I poured the batter in my Perfect Pancake pan. Then I told my brother who was watching, "This is so easy. Just watch." I burned 15 pancakes, including the one I dropped on the burner, which lit on fire, causing the alarm to go off. FML

Today, my mom had me and my little brother make pancakes for breakfast. I had to let the dog out of the house to go do his business, so I had my little brother wait there and told him not to touch anything. I came back 5 minutes later, and there were cracked eggs in the almost-done batter. FML

Today, I was looking forward to my only day to sleep-in this month while I'm balancing school and work. I was rudely awakened at 6 am by my sister and her friend trying to make pancakes, burning them, and setting off the fire alarm in my house for half an hour. FML

Today, I decided to make a toaster scramble. I thought it was bad enough when the pastry fell through the grate in the toaster over. Then it burst into flames. After 5 minutes of fanning the smoke away from the smoke detector, it still went off. Now my entire dorm building is outside in a snowstorm. FML

Today, I decided to make an almighty breakfast of fried eggs and bacon. I couldn't find anything to flip the eggs with so I used a red spatula that my sister handed me. As I was finishing a delicious fry up, my mom came downstairs and asked me why the cat litter scoop was resting in the frying pan. FML

Today, I tried to make breakfast. I had everything cooking on the stove when I reached to turn on the faucet, only to find out that the head of the faucet was up the sleeve of my robe. After drying off, I went to serve my boyfriend his plate, but when I returned, the stove had caught fire. FML

Today, I was sleeping in my apartment when I woke up to the smell of smoke. Alarmed, I ran out to the kitchen to find my roommates trying to put out a fire on the stove. As soon as they saw me, they ran for it, informing me that it was my problem now. They used my good frying pan. FML

Today, I had pancakes for breakfast, and without realizing it, I got syrup in my hair. After breakfast, I went to straighten my hair, only to burn the syrup and have it get stuck in my hair. There was no time to shower and it smelled. FML

They never said if it was a home made batter or a ready-made batter. So it still could be from scratch. But seriously, my father bought me one of those pans when I was 12 because I loved cooking pancakes ... worst invention ever, batter slips out and goes on the burner or it ends up burnt. Stop being lazy and use an offset spatula like everyone else.

I can't believe that anyone stupid enough to have done this has the mental competancy to be typing and posting things on a website. Seriously. How the **** do you burn 15 pancakes in a row??? One, maybe. If the heat was too high, I can see it getting a little too dark. You didn't think of MAYBE turning the heat down after the first one turned out black? I don't think you should be allowed near hot things.

You made enough batter to make 15...? I've been cooking pancakes since I was around 5, and I've burned... two? (I'm male, too. Suck it, stereotypes!) Fyl indeed. But don't worry too much, at least you didn't burn water--I have friends who have.
