Today, I went to my grandfather's funeral. As I stood there, bawling my eyes out, my aunt came over and put her arm around me. She leaned her head close to mine. I assumed she was going to say something comforting. Instead she asked where I'd bought my shoes from. FML

Today, I was standing in the parking lot with my sister, after my aunt's funeral, when my grandma walks up and says to my sister, "You're the one going places in life, I'm proud to have you as a grand daughter." She then looked at me, and walked away. FML

Today, I called my boyfriend to have a shoulder to cry on because my grandpa died. As soon as I told him, he started crying and telling me how much he missed his grandmother, who died six years ago. I spent the majority of the phone call listening to him wail. FML

Today, my grandpa died. I called my grandma to make sure she was going to be fine. After talking over the phone for 30 minutes or so, I told her goodbye and said, out of habit, "Say hi to grandpa for me". FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out for a romantic dinner, since we can't see each other this Valentine's Day. Halfway through, my aunt called, telling me my grandma had died. I had to leave because I was crying so much, leaving my girlfriend with a very pricey bill. FML

how is this a FML? she was probably trying to get your mind off of the fact that your grandfather died. when my grandfather died in june my uncle came up to me at the wake and started talking to me about colleges i've visited. your aunt was just trying to make you think of something else so you wouldn't cry as much.

i love how FML is supposed to help people out but you always got the assholes to post comments saying retarted shit like suck it up. sometimes its really not that easy like yeah you will get over it eventually, but in mean time stop trying to make someone feel like shit. i agree with alot of you that her aunt was helping her.
