Horrible FML - no irony at all. Your aunt was simply complimenting your shoes. And why in the world were you bawling like a baby at your grandfather's funeral? Weren't you getting enough attention? The people who were entitled to others' sympathy and attention were the deceased's spouse and children. Not their 100 grandchildren. Sheesh. When you're confronted with a real loss, you're going to be so embarrassed.
Some people are really close to their grandparents 65, my grandparents raised me. Also, some people just don't handle loss well. I know people who are torn to shreds over casual acquaintances dying. To the OP: She was probably trying to change the subject.
Who put this on the site? Not even CLOSE to an FML.
ha ha this is the stupidest, worst FML Ive ever seen. haha
wow that sucks. same thing happened to me at my great grandmother's funeral. My grandma came up to me, gave me a hug, and handed me a mint, telling me that my breath smelled.

Shit, at least she didn't say something like "He never really liked you, you know." Sorry about your grandpa.
So where'd you buy them?
