No thanks

By Kara - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, my downstairs neighbor had a home birth. Not only did I hear eighteen hours of uninterrupted screaming, they called me afterwards to ask if I could come over to help them clean up. FML

Gross! No way, they need to clean up their own bodily fluids!

Now that's a messy situation, tell them to clean their own shit up.

all these comments say only close family or friends should help clean up. so your telling me that you guys would actually clean up a bloodied, smelly goo of a mess that just came out of a close friend or families ******... not to mention getting it all over yourself while in the process. frankly I find that rather Fucken discusting... u chose to have that kid, clean it up yourself.

I agree with you, but the newborn's grandmother/grandfather or aunt or uncle or some sort of family member would be better than just randomly asking your neighbour to clean up your baby-mess.

She should have let all of her neighbors know she was having a home birth so they could make arrangements to stay elsewhere or something! She lives in an apartment complex! How rude!

I'll assume you said "hell no, clean up your own afterbirth"

Of course you can not answer the door or phone and act like you're not there. But do vein a gift for the family. And invest in some ear plugs, because that baby will be hollering more than a banshee.
